SCHWARTAU JAM KNOWS NO LIMITS
The Schwartau Summer Edition is not just a visual highlight but it’s also a real must-have for all sorts of yummy recipes such as marinades, salad dressings and cocktails.
Schwartau has been producing jam for over 100 years and is the market leader in Germany. For the Summer Edition, Schwartau teamed up with the food lifestyle brand FOODBOOM and proved that jam can be much more than a sweet spread for bread. Our team was commissioned for the packaging design of the three varieties.
The Schwartau Summer Edition is intended to appeal to a younger target group and thus stand out on the jam shelf in a bold, contemporary way. The aim was to integrate the slogan "Inspired by FOODBOOM" ‒ referring to the recipe publisher well-known to young people ̶ into the packaging design. This encourages consumers to visit the online portal of the same name to find and try out the creative marinade, sauce and cocktail recipes developed with the three Summer Edition jams.
Thanks to the black slate background design, the Summer Edition really stands out from other jams. The white chalk rendition of the variety name on the label and the chalk illustrations give the range a lively, colourful look. The grill and cocktail icons on the lid show that the jam can also be used to great effect as an ingredient in creative drinks and marinades.
