A fruity, natural and vivacious packaging design for the new organic range from Schwartau Extra
The company, based in Bad Schwartau, northern Germany and founded in 1899 is expanding its range by launching four new organic-certified fruit spreads. This reflects the continuing growth in the trendy organic segment which is currently dominated by organic and private-label brands. Schwartau is the first mainstream brand to launch an organic line-up on the jam shelf.
The strawberry, raspberry, apricot and forest fruit variants are available in 190g jars with natural ingredients and no preservatives. The target group are health-conscious consumers with a sustainable lifestyle who also want to purchase organic-quality products from big, well-known brands. The packaging design had to communicate the naturalness of the products in a fresh, young way – while not looking too ecological.
The delicate flower and twig illustrations together with the textured background on-label stand for the care that has gone into the products and the select ingredients. The green typography and lid also reflect naturalness. The curved lettering reminds us of a smile, adding to the lively and cheerful design that ensures a good-humoured start to the day!
